She worked as producer and director for a series of documentaries on arts for different international galleries and artist included the well known sculpture Richard Wilson, the choreographer Rosemary Butcher and the revolutionary graphic designer Neville Brody.
Additionally she created and directed the international film festival Short Ends World Film Schools Festival with the attendance of 55 schools from around the world from Japan to Argentine, 3 international cinema chains and 100 short films.
She returned to Colombia in 2006 since when she has worked as local producer/fixer in

As producer and director for There a short documentary especial guest in the Poetry Film Festival Berlin.
Currently is co-producing with Pivot Pictures NY “Looking for Colombia”, feature documentary commissioned by The International Center of Transitional Justice.
As writer, Maritza is developing the White Tuna Fishing and Paradise Inside, Winner of the FIAS (the audiovisual research foundation) development fund 2007. Spain.
Education
Maritza studied film and video in The University of the Arts London. London College Of Communications. As a student she was awarded the British government’s international student award, The Silver Award, recognizing international students who develop activities or programs of important cultural or social value to the country.
