A highly skilled After Effects user of more than 8 years and know exactly how to get the best out of it as a designer and compositor. I also train professionals from intermediate to advanced levels and have been contracted as a consultant in applying the software for the broadcast environment.

My skills in After Effects are equaled with that of Illustrator and Photoshop. Both are essential tools for my creative workflow. I also utilise them professionally for print production and artworking.

I have an expertise in video compression techniques and have a lot of experience in providing the correct format and codec for many video devices.

A comprehensive knowledge of Mac computers helps me fix issues quickly without disturbing the workflow. I’ve also consulted many professionals on setting up the best possible Mac-based production suites for their needs.

I was actively involved with the Quantel Training Programme for their Q series (Paintbox Pro & GQ). I was sent to Washington DC, Cologne, Helsinki and London to train professionals to use the kit for Graphics, Special Effects and Compositing.

My main line of work is to realise designers, directors and producers’ ideas. I’m accomplished at this, always keen to impress and surprise them. With my expertise, I have built a good list of regular clients.

I’m used to extremely tight deadlines and I’ve never missed one as a professional. When time’s against me, I have the aptitude to find the best possible solution without sacrificing any quality in the work.

I always hold a good and friendly rapport with clients and colleagues. I have always found it important to ask all the necessary questions to avoid any misunderstandings or mistakes.

I have adequate skills in Final Cut Pro to do a simple edit and I’m now able to use the node based compositor Shake for certain effects and utilities.

I’m a very keen photographer and consider myself Semi-Pro specialising in Landscapes and Still Life.

This is my current Showreel. It covers work done from 2006 to 2009 for BBC (Cardiff, UK), S4C (Cardiff, UK) & Screenscene (Dublin, IRE). If you'd like any more info - feel free to ask.

*Experience*	Motion Graphics is my forté, Compositing & VFX come a very close 2nd. I'll accept any challenge. 10+ yrs experience with After Effects for Motion Graphics, Compositing, VFX, Animation & broadcats template set-up. Have been utilised as designer, compositor, consultant & trainer for AE - so I consider myself pretty masterful! Previously a Quantel trainer on their GQ + Paintbox systems - this gave me the expansive knowledge required to work in Video & Film. Shake is my new project - I'm able to use it for doing those things that AE can't do; my knowledge and experience is forever growing. Expert knowledge of broadcast systems; 5+ yrs experience working for S4C & BBC. Very technically minded, verging on geeky; Mac savvy and can solve any problem quickly without waiting for IT help! Speedy, efficient & creative. Open, honest & friendly. Always learning; always wanting to push myself and be innovative.
