Biomedia Communications is a video production company specializing in producing medical and surgical training and educational videos. We are a new company but are very experienced in the medical production field. I have been a freelance producer of medical and surgical videos for several years now working for some of the world's largest medical publishers. My partner is an animation and graphics guru creating impressive 2D and 3D animations to compliment all our videos. In addition, we have recently added a full service audio department efficient in recording professional voice-overs and editing and mastering all audio projects. We handle jobs of all sizes -we can produce your project from concept to final product or we offer our services ala carte.
Education
I have been a video producer/editor for 10 years. The first 5 years I worked for a major sports network in NYC producing content for live game production. After that I worked at a posthouse in NYC for a couple of years while beginning freelancing medical projects on the side. About 3 years ago, I left the post house to persue my freelance endeavors full-time which eventually led me and my partner to start Biomedia Communications in October of 2007.
I have worked with my partner for about 10 years now. We both started at the same sports network, where he created 2D and 3D animations. When he left that network, he went to become the art director at a major medical publisher in Philly where he worked for the next few years. In October of 2007, he left his job to start Biomedia Communications with me and we have been growing steadily in the months since.

Software Proficiency
Editing - We edit on an Avid NLE and Adobe Premiere NLE. Also use FCP from time to time but it's not my favorite.
Authoring - Primarily use DVD Studio Pro but also have used Sonic DVDit and eDVD.
Graphics - Adobe Photoshop, After Effects, Flash Studio, Illustrator
Audio - ProTools (primarily), Soundtrack Pro
Encoding/Transcoding - Canopus Procoder, Sorenson Squeeze, On2Flix Pro
