I am experienced across the full range of the video production process from concept development through story boarding, script development, filming as well as the post production processes of ingesting multi formatted media, post production editing in line with client feedback (including integrating multi formatted media, titles, motion graphics etc), final finishing and mastering before creating a final output either via DVD authoring or online forum such as Vimeo and YouTube.

Experience	I completed a Media Studies degree (that was combined with a second degree in International Studies) at the University of Adelaide in mid 2011 and since that time have been involved in a number of freelance and voluntary video production projects. I am currently working part time for the Our World Today, a not for profit online news organisation based in Adelaide. My interests in the media industry span a broad range of media fields covering advertising, marketing, brand promotion, social media and video, radio and other forms of digital media production. It is however in the video production fields of the industry that I am most passionate and so my interest in this opportunity. My media degree included a focus on film and video production and I have, and am building, a diverse range of video production experiences which are summarised below. Ø Completed corporate video production work for the Adelaide Festival Centre. Ø Completed promotional videos for the 2011 Bay Sports Festival and for the Coromandel Valley communities 175th birthday celebration. Ø Completed a music video for a local Adelaide artist that portrays the lonely life of a call centre operator. Ø Completed a satirical critique of the impact of proposed internet censorship laws on other information sources such as local libraries. Ø In post production phase of a video for one of the local artists performing in the 2012 Adelaide Fringe Festival over Feb-March 2012. Ø Working part time for the not for profit online news organisation Our World Today (http://www.ourworldtoday.com.au/). Ø Arranging to do freelance work for Dreamstreamstv initially for the April 2012 Adelaide Pecha Kucha event. Dreamstreamstv provide a live video stream of the event on the internet and then produce individual videos for each presenter. Ø Approached to undertake corporate video work in Melbourne for one week in late April 2012.

Software Proficiency	I own both a digital still and video camera and am confident in using both and I am competent in the use of a variety of non linear video editing (NLE) programs. I own both PC and Mac computers and have access to industry standard video editing software such as Final Cut Pro and Adobe Premiere Pro. I am confident in my abilities with Adobe Creative Suite, in particular those elements associated with film and video post production processes including After Effects and Motion Graphics, video conversion, DVD authoring, graphic design and digital audio editing. I am experienced in the use of Adobe Photoshop and to a lesser extent Adobe illustrator. I also have experience in relevant audio editing software packages such as Audacity and Reaver. I have strong computer and technology skills on both PC Windows and Mac systems and pride myself on my ability to quickly learn and get accustomed to new technologies.
