Joachim Czogalla is a Shanghai based professional DOP/lighting cameraman and Steadicam operator from Germany. He has worked as a magazine photographer and as DOP/camera and since 1996 Steadicam operator in a wide range of fields, covering news reports, commercials, documentaries (for ARD, ARTE, BBC, CBC, National Geographic, RTL, 3SAT, ZDF) as well as short feature films. He has worked in locations all over the world, and has participated in such ambitious projects as the documentary about the Peace Nobel Prize awarded UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan for ARD (German first public channel) and the documentary 'The gods come Home' about 'Chinas Leap To Faith' for Vison TV Canada broad casted on CBC. His work has been part of exhibitions of the Art and Exhibition Hall of the Federal Republic of Germany in Bonn and is part of installations in the permanent collection of the Modern Design Museum of Nuernberg (Germany). In 2005 he moved to China where he is working freelance in corporation with several film production companies.
