|Experience||In 2000, Kenneth moved to New York City to work on the feature film Julia Johnson as a Production Assistant. This film gave him the opportunity to learn the functions of a Production Office, as well as operations of On-Set Management. He found learning the inner workings of every department not only enjoyable, but essential. This gave way to his growth in the film, television, and commercial production industry in NYC.|
Over the years Kenneth has taken on many roles including: Producer, Art Director, 1st Assistant Director, Casting Director, Production Coordinator, Talent Coordinator, Locations Manager, etc. For over thirteen years he has created a proven track record of working with top advertising agencies, production companies, and directors.
While living in New York City, Kenneth also freelanced as a creative. His artwork has been featured on Nickelodeon, CBS, MTV, and Logo. He has also designed graphics for the 2010 Harley Davidson Collection and was selected as a winner of Adobe's 5 Weeks of 5 Competition. His artwork is versatile and dynamic. With his complete knowledge of production he makes an excellent Creative / Art Director.
Kenneth is highly noted for the following skills: Art Direction, Graphic Design, Traditional Illustration, Creation/Conception, Advertising/Branding/Marketing, Copywriting, Character Design/Development, Social Media, etc. Like many creatives from New York City, he has had the opportunity to establish himself as a versatile creative that is not afraid to push the barriers. His design skills have great range and he has the ability to create artwork in a variety of styles.
Having a background working in management and as a creative makes Kenneth a prime candidate, as well as a great asset to have on any team. He is able to handle problems that arise by thinking outside of the box in an efficient and creative manner while meeting deadlines. Because he has been trained in both aspects he can generate a creative brief, formulate a strategy to put that idea into motion, and follow through with that strategy until the idea comes into fruition.
In 2012, Kenneth relocated to Germany. Prior to doing so he took German courses at The United Nations International School's Deutsche Sprachschule and at New York University's Deutsches Haus which is affiliated with the Goethe Institute. After his move he has continued his education in the German language by taking four additional German courses and an orientation course at Erkrath's Volkhochschule.
In July 2012, Kenneth partnered with the Coworking Loft in order to bring the Behance Portfolio Review Events to Düsseldorf. Kenneth organizes and hosts the events in his spare time. Additionally, he manages the Facebook Group dedicated to the event. Currently the group has over 670 members and is still growing. Speakers have included: Sven Doelle from Adobe, Guido Moeller from Wacom, designer Vera Henco, Parasol Island, Marc Thiele from the Beyond Tellerrand Conference, Morphoria Designs, Frame6, photographer Thomas Herbrich, Pedro Custódio from the SHiFT Conference, etc.
The the goal of the events are to enable creatives and artists living in or near NRW to network, connect, share, and inspire. Because of his accomplishments with the group Adobe asked him to be an Adobe Influencer / Keynote Speaker at their April 2014 Create Now Event in Berlin. The event was streamed live on Adobe.de. Over 2000 viewers tuned in to watch the live stream of the Create Now Event!
In May 2014, Kenneth hosted a Behance Portfolio Review that was an official side event of the Beyond Tellerrand Conference. The event took place during Behance's International Portfolio Review Week. The speakers included: Dennis Stobbe, Christian Köster, and Ankat Hermanns. In addition, Kenneth organized a live call-in via Skype with Sarah Rapp (Behance's Head of Community Management in New York City).
On July 1st, 2014 Kenneth was the moderator / host at the Adobe Create Now Event that took place in Düsseldorf, Germany at the Capitol Theater. He worked closely with Adobe on the organization and planning of this event. In addition, Kenneth promoted the event and over 825 people registered. Kenneth also organized a Behance Art Gallery that featured 9 artists from the Behance Düsseldorf / NRW community. Along with Christian Köster Photography, he sponsored the Behance Photo Booth at the event.
His love for the arts has now placed him as the Wacom Behance Gallery Coordinator, where he will be curating the Wacom Gallery on Behance. He will also be writing monthly articles that feature European artists that utilize the Wacom Gallery on Behance. This is an on going project that will take place outside of Kenneth's normal work, thus he still maintains the ability to work on other projects and for other companies / agencies.
