I am a freelance graphic designer, illustrator and writer based in Tokyo. My professional experience includes layout and design of publications, branding, advertising, presentations and illustration.
I’m looking to turn my talents to many new and exciting projects. Having worked on both corporate and private commissions I am versatile and passionate about design. I am also a regular contributing writer for Japanese culture websites a TEFL accredited English language coach.

As a member of the company’s core design team, I provided design support and lead on a broad range of projects for both internal and external clients.
From publications to exhibitions, I worked on many high profile assignments and was able to demonstrate teamwork, technical proficiency and fresh creative initiative while maintaining the integrity in-house stle.
My specialty was illustration.
Other responsibilities included content writing for promotional material, bid support and management of the marketing photo library.

Customer liaison and mascot
United Publications provides international customers with products from Japanese popular culture. For seven years, I worked at cultural events and exhibitions in the UK and overseas.
As a cosplay mascot, I created and wore nine popular character costumes and was responsible for engaging customers and making individual recommendations. My enthusiasm and vast knowledge of anime and manga was an asset. Communication, intuition and customer service was paramount.
English language coaching
Using Skype, I provided conversational coaching for Japanese students to prepare them for studying at university in America and the UK. I specialise in providing bespoke coaching that would not be available in the typical English classroom.
Aid For Japan
The UK-based charity is dedicated to providing long-term support to the children who suffered the loss of family in the Touhoku earthquake tsunami of 2011. I provide editorial and proofreading support for the charity’s website and communications. I maintain contact with the charity founder and will continue to support their activities in the future.
