This opportunity not only sounds fantastic, but it literally sprung out of the page at me because everything required for the job are the skills I have been learning and honing for almost a decade. I have never felt more excitement for such a perfectly matched employment opportunity than I have for this position.

I have a passion for CCSL and subtitling work ever since college when during a class the professor showed a demonstration of terrible localization and subtitle presentation and how making a single mistake on a line of dialogue can throw the entire scene out of balance. Over a decade later I keep that lesson close to heart with every subtitle I craft for every film I work on. I have had repeat clients who return to me because of the care they see that I put into their work and I have enjoyed the privilege of creating the CCSL documents for feature films that later went on to win Best Picture or film festivals.

I have been proud to put my name to hundreds of films, television programs and series episodes in the name of better allowing an audience to engage and enjoy what they are watching. I find the entire process of CCSL and CCDL editing fascinating, how one job can have such an impact on the experience of so many.

ExperienceI have been working in film post-production for almost ten years as a writer, CCSL/CCDL and subtitle list editor, transcriber, broadcast script editor and film localization manager. I work with both Adobe Premier Pro and Final Cut, as well as complimentary programs such as After Effects, Photoshop and Microsoft Office (Word / Excel).

I have worked on hundreds of films, shorts, TV shows and commercials, both Oscar winners and obscure inde productions. But no matter the scale of the film I firmly believe in approaching each project with the same level of accuracy, care and attention and localizing it in the best way possible for it to reach its intended audience.I have created CCSL/CCDL documents for all the major film studios in America as well as Netflix, Amazon the History Channel and the BBC.

EducationI have a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Wales, Swansea, UK. I graduated from the school of Media Communications, Film Theory and Production/Post-Production.
SpecialityMy specialty lies in creating CCSL/CCDL and subtitle lists for clients. I have a template that I edit according to the clients wishes and needs and am happy to incorporate whatever guidelines that are presented to me. I believe in adapting to the guidelines of the client and use a host of tools to accomplish that and deliver the best possible products.
