ExperiencePost Production Manager

Lonelyleap is an international film company. Since our formation is 2006 Lonelyleap has grown rapidly and produced award winning films across documentary, advertising, digital distributions, and corporate production.

We are recruiting an experienced Post Production Manager to join our Brooklyn office full time. As a small business, we place great importance on the ability to wear many hats and on fostering a team of people who are enthusiastic, committed to their work, and willing to learn and grow with the company. The position requires the ability to work autonomously while providing consistent support and feedback to other staff and departments.

Post-Production Management:
Supervises Editors, MGFX artists, Sound Artists, Colorists and other post team members (both freelance and in-house) to meet daily project goals and milestones.
Manages overall project plans/schedules and logistics, identifying effective use of staff and resources.
Oversees Post-Production Department recruitment and inducts new hires.
Maintains and curates preferred freelance and vendor list for edits, VFX, and finishing.
Works closely with Producers on assessing project needs and keeping them apprised of project status.

Post Oversight:
Evaluates post workflows and suggests improvements and technical approaches for new projects and internal work.
Oversees all media management and asset organization on project and internal basis.
Oversees editor(s) in project/edit preparation.
Prepares projects for final finishing process (knowledge of OMF, AAF, EDL, XML exports).
Prepares, creates, and QCs final deliverables to client spec. and ensures timely delivery.
Maintains internal masters, archive and weekly backup systems (LTO tape inventory).
Assists on edits or MGFX as needed.
Knowledge of post-production facilities and ability to advise on equipment, systems, and all related technologies.
Ensures post production workflows are current with industry standards.

IT/Security:
Serves as in-house support for London-based Technical Director in managing technical operations: network, server, and RAID system administration.
Maintains performance and condition of all in-house hardware, software and network, oversees installation of all new equipment.
Manages department budget and purchases.
Performs desktop admin troubleshooting.
Administers account and device privileges for security and privacy.

Requirements
Must have a working knowledge of the following:
Post workflows
Canon, Red & Arri workflows
LTO backup systems
AFP and Mac networks
Adobe Cloud (Premiere, After Effects, Audition, Media Encoder, Photoshop)
Encoding and transcoding
File formats and codecs
G-Suite Technologies
DaVinci Resolve
Standard After Effects plugins
1 to 3 years experience post-production management, preferably with small to medium sized companies.
Ability to lift 40+ pounds.
Available for occasional weekend and evening work.
