I'm a freelance video editor/assistant editor working in Portland, OR.
As a way to practice new techniques and keep my skills sharp I develop music videos for independent artists and bands. Some of these videos have been featured on GorillavsBear.net, Pitchfork.com, Spin.com.
Prior to freelancing I was a series editor and field producer with the production company Roadtrip Nation. Beginning as a production intern, logging, digitizing tape and managing media I learned the ins and outs of the post production work flow. Ultimately leading to the opportunity to join the team. During my time with RTN I had the pleasure of documenting over 200 hundred interviews and editing for the television series and online series.
I'm no stranger to the long winding road and the countless hours needed behind a monitor searching for that right element to serve the story.
Commercial ad, documentary or music video, it's about crafting something that sticks with the viewer.
