I developed my passion for motion graphics at the national networks in New York, culminating at NBC Nightly News, where my work in RT3D and After-Effects were recognized with awards for innovation. A chance to manage and mentor a team of 12 artists brought me to Seattle in 2005, where I continued to advance my Design Director and graphics management skills for KING TV, KONG, NWCN, and their digital assets.
I take great pride in the fact that I was able to mentor and develop the ”gfxLAB”, a group of artists who worked as a team, constantly expanding their design and technical skills. We branded, designed and launched several of our own shows, including New Day NW and Moore To Life. In addition we re-branded local News, Sports, Primetime and Weather for TV,Web, Mobile and Apps. Part of an award winning Investigative team, my graphics enhanced content and polished stories that were recognized nationally several times. Using my RT3D skills, my experience allowed us to use limited virtual sets for Elections and daily use.
Sharing ideas and technology workflows has always been part of my ethos. In New York, I furthered that sense of collaboration by founding NYCmg.org, the New York Motion Graphics Group, where even those who might be considered competitors came to learn and share their latest works. I continue to be a beta tester for several software packages.
All the works mentioned above can be found at williamdrescher.com.
In addition, I’ve posted a resume at williamdrescher.com/resume.pdf and my colleagues have posted a number of gracious recommendations on my Linkedin Profile. Thank you for your time and consideration.

I developed my passion for motion graphics at the national networks in New York, culminating at NBC Nightly News, where my work in RT3D Frost and After-Effects was an integral part of major news stories. As founder the NYC Motion Graphics Users Group, sharing ideas and work flows has always been part of my ethos. Using chal- lenges and collaboration at the core of my process, I take great pride in developing and training my teams. A designer first, I strive to innovate rather than do what comes easy. My strength with software enables me to solve design puzzles and create solutions. I see it as the craft of my design.
