|Experience||I started reading classic literature very early in my life. Later, I expanded my interest to music, theatre, visual arts, and cinema. I tried to take advantage of my studies in order to educate myself culturally, philosophically, technically and ethically.|
Telling stories through images, is a process that feels natural to me. I make films because I want to communicate and reflect on concepts that are subtle and unspoken.
Having studied Visual Arts and worked in the cinema industry I found myself in multiple roles. However, directing films is what I do best. My first professional short fiction ‘Ilena’ participated in numerous film festivals and won the Best Short Fiction and Best Cinematography prize in some of them. In addition, the Greek Film Centre financially supported this film after its completion. My first short documentary ‘I think about the girls who fell in love’ participated in the 19th Thessaloniki Documentary Festival. In 2017, I directed a part of a segmented documentary project supported by the Sundance Channel. In this project I did the cinematography and editing myself. Moreover, the script of my second short fiction was shortlisted for the Greek Film Centre’s screenplay workshop and I received a letter of ‘interest of financing’.
Being self-disciplined, punctual, dedicated to goals, but also sociable and outgiving, I have a natural inclination for leadership. As a film-maker, I found out how important it is to communicate with others and understand their feelings and needs in order to give life to my vision.
